First, make sure you are running the Mediavine Control Panel plugin. If you aren't, please follow these instructions to switch to the Mediavine Control Panel plugin.

If you are running the Mediavine Control Panel plugin, most of the time your ADS.TXT file will be automatically redirected to a file on our server. In some server environments, however, it will need a little push.

Look at your DASHBOARD and check your ADS.TXT Health Check. If it is green, you are good to go. If it is yellow or red, you need to proceed with the below instructions:

Installing or updating your ADS.TXT file

To update your ADS.TXT file, visit your WordPress Admin's plugins page and make sure the Mediavine Control Panel plugin has been updated to version 2.6.0 or higher. With these versions of the Mediavine Control Panel plugin, there will either be an option to manually update the ads.txt file or it will automatically redirect your site's ads.txt to display an always updated version of the ads.txt file located on our servers. This will help ensure that your ads.txt file is always up to date!

1. Verify the installed version of Mediavine Control Panel is 2.6.0 or higher.

2. Check your Mediavine Control Panel settings.

Depending on your site's server configuration, you may see an option to update the ads.txt file. Click the "Update Ads.txt" button and move to step 3:

Otherwise, if you don't see that button then it means your server and WordPress installation is configured in a manner that would allow our plugin to automatically handle a redirect to an updated ads.txt file on our server.

If this is the case, then you can go to step 3.

3. Clear your site's cache.

If you have any caching plugins installed, you'll want to clear their caching. The option to clear cache can be found along the top menu bar in your WordPress Admin:

4. Check your dashboard's ADS.TXT site health check to make sure it is teal. The status should update near 5pm EST.
