How to Test Your Ad Placements
Before you check your placements, there are a few things you should know.
Testing your ad placements is very easy, but it requires a little bit of code to ensure you see an accurate representation of the available placements on your site.
How to test your ad placements for accuracy
-
Use an incognito window
-
Append the code below to the end of the URL you are testing:
?test=houseads
That's it! When you use those two tools in combination with each other you can ensure you are seeing all of the available placements on your site and can check to make sure your posts are getting enough ads and that they appear as expected.

Why do I have to use a code to make them display for testing?
Our ads are programmatic, meaning that ad placements depend on an auction, and someone winning that auction, for an ad to display. As site owners, we are on our sites much more than the average reader, so sometimes we "use up" our premium impressions before we are actually done looking at the site.
