Mediavine Labs: SEO Insights

A Mediavine Labs tool that ranks your pages by real SEO performance and prices the opportunity in ad dollars wherever we can, letting you know where your time is actually worth spending.

How It Works

SEO Insights lives right inside your Mediavine Dashboard, under Mediavine Labs. It pulls your search performance data from Google Search Console and turns it into one ranked list, split into two working sections:

Needs attention — pages flagged as striking-distance (close to a ranking breakthrough) or losing steam. You can check these off as you address them.

All pages — everything else, in rank order.

The key difference from most SEO tools: wherever Mediavine has a confirmed ad-revenue number for a page, SEO Insights shows that dollar figure instead of a click estimate, allowing you to weigh opportunities in real earnings, not just traffic.

For pages flagged as opportunities, you'll also see a "+$X/month" estimate, a projection of what that page could earn if it reaches top-of-page-one click-through rates. It's shown alongside an effort rating (like "Medium") so you can weigh the expected upside against the work involved.

Getting Started

  1. In your Mediavine Dashboard, find SEO Insights under the Mediavine Labs section

  2. Review your Needs attention list first. These are your highest-priority pages

  3. Check off pages as you address them; they'll sink to the bottom of the list, dimmed, so your active list stays focused.

  4. Browse All pages when you want the full ranked picture beyond just what needs attention

Good to Know

Not every page will have a dollar figure. Dollar amounts only show where Mediavine has a confirmed ad-revenue record for that specific page, and that revenue clears a $1/month floor. Otherwise you'll see a click count instead — that doesn't mean the page isn't earning, just that we don't have a confirmed number for it yet.

Large or high-traffic sites may not see every page. SEO Insights pulls from Google Search Console (up to 25,000 rows) and keeps a working set of your top pages per ranking tier, showing a focused slice of those rather than a wall of data. If your site is large enough that some pages don't make the cut, the tool tells you directly.

A missing page isn't necessarily a glitch. If a page had no search activity in the selected date range, it simply won't appear.

Checking a page off is purely for your own tracking. It doesn't report anything to Google or affect your site's actual search performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does this data come from? It's pulled directly from Google Search Console, then narrowed down to feature your strongest and most actionable pages.

How does the tool decide which pages to show me? We start with your full search performance data from Google, then narrow it down in stages, keeping your strongest pages in each ranking tier, so you see your best opportunities instead of a wall of data.

Why does one page show a dollar amount and another just shows clicks? The dollar figure is real, confirmed ad revenue for that page. When we don't yet have a matched revenue number for a page (or it's too small to register), we show clicks instead so the row still tells you something about how that page is performing.

What does the "+$X/month" estimate mean? It's a projection, not confirmed earnings. It estimates what a page could earn if its flagged search queries reached top-of-page-one click-through rates, priced using that page's recent ad RPM.

Does checking a page off change my rankings or report anything to Google? No. It's a personal tracking tool for your own workflow. Checking a page off just moves it to the bottom of your Needs attention list, and you can undo it anytime.

Can I clear old completed items from my list? Not yet. Checked-off items stay indefinitely (dimmed, at the bottom of the list). We know this is a limitation and it's something we're looking at.

Who has access right now? SEO Insights is currently a Mediavine Labs beta tool, available to a limited group of publishers as we continue to refine it based on feedback.
