Preparing for Tax Season
If you do not file US taxes, you may disregard this message.
In 2025, if you:
Made the switch to LLC or S Corp >> Make sure this is reflected in your payment profile. More information here.
Moved to a different state >> Your tax rate may have changed. Be sure to update your address! More information here.
Changed your name >> Update your Payment Profile so that the names aren’t mismatched on your 1099. More information here.
Retired an old email address >> The email in your Payment Profile must be valid! This is where your 1099 will be sent.
The information that appears on your 1099 comes directly from the last W9 you submitted to Mediavine via Step 3 of your Payment Profile. Take a moment to review it to ensure accurate information is reported to the IRS.
Some FYIs:
- To make any of these changes listed above, navigate from the main dashboard page to Payments > Payment Profile and make your edits there.
- Your 1099 will be sent via email by January 31st from a service called Tax1099.
- If all of your 2025 payments were issued via PayPal, you will not receive a 1099 from Mediavine. Read more on this here.
- S Corporations, C Corporations, and LLCs taxed as S or C Corporations will not receive a 1099, since they are exempt from 1099 reporting requirements.
- If you need proof of income, or if you’d like to view your payment history or download invoices, you can find more information here: How to Download Invoices
